Rod Van Hook, veteran sports broadcaster heard on KFWB, KSPN, and 710/KMPC, died over the weekend after a long illness, according to a memo sent by Andy Ludlum, program director at KNX/KFWB. In 1995, Rod won a Golden Mike for Best Sportscast and an AP Award. Rod has been the recipient of 3 L.A. Press Club awards.
